Alvon Steven Ward, born on May 17, 1960, departed this life on July 15, 2026. With heavy hearts but deep gratitude for the love he so freely gave, family and friends now reflect on the legacy of a man whose impact was felt by all who knew him.

Throughout the years, Alvon’s warmth, kindness, and generosity left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to share in his journey. He was a constant presence—steadfast and loving. There are countless memories of laughter, wisdom shared in quiet moments, and the unwavering support he offered in both times of joy and challenge. His sense of humor and genuine care drew others to him, and his stories, advice, and encouragement will echo for years to come.

Alvon’s life was one defined by heart and humility. He cherished relationships and was always ready to lend a hand, listen earnestly, or celebrate the milestones of those around him. His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but also a legacy that will guide and inspire all who carry forward his memory.

A visitation honoring Alvon’s life will be held at Powerhouse C.O.G.I.C., 127 Hoskins Rd, Batesville, MS 38606, on August 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life service will take place at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Together, all are invited to remember Alvon—the laughter, the love, and the profound impact of a life well lived.

Though Alvon is no longer present, the gifts of his kindness, strength, and love will always remain with those he leaves behind.
